Hamburg's AquaNab secures Nordic Foodtech VC

Hamburg-based AquaNab raised an undisclosed amount from Finnish early-stage fund Nordic Foodtech VC. The startup develops alpaca-derived nanoantibodies delivered through fish feed as precision immunotherapies that cross the intestinal barrier into the bloodstream of Atlantic salmon.

AquaNab initially targets sea lice, a parasite the company says costs global aquaculture around $4 billion a year.
