Enable Earth, a Thai startup, is pioneering a multi-revenue circular business model by converting farm waste in northern Thailand into biochar, carbon credits, and green heat. The initiative, founded by Pasinee Tangsuriyapaisan, aims to transform agricultural residue, primarily from animal feed corn, which was previously burned or landfilled, into valuable resources.
The startup's revenue streams include selling biochar to large farms and managing carbon credits with international partners. Excess heat generated during the biochar production process is captured and supplied as clean energy for industrial applications, leveraging what would otherwise be a wasted byproduct.
This approach addresses multiple challenges simultaneously, converting biomass waste into a climate solution while generating income from several avenues. Tangsuriyapaisan adapted models observed in Europe, Australia, and the US to tackle pollution and foster sustainable systems in Thailand.
Enable Earth's long-term vision involves expanding energy applications to provide both heat and electricity, thereby establishing more circular and sustainable systems for large industrial partners. Carbon credit management will be handled internally, supported by partners specializing in digital monitoring, reporting, and verification.
