Zurich-based agritech company OneSoil has successfully secured €1 million in funding. This capital injection comes from existing investors, notably Yury Melnichek, co-founder of Melnichek Investments, and is earmarked for the continued development of its AI Agronomist farming assistant.
Founded in 2017, OneSoil focuses on AI-driven precision agriculture solutions. The company's AI Agronomist, integrated into the OneSoil app, is a multimodal AI agent that processes extensive field data, offering daily natural-language recommendations to farmers.
This technology leverages satellite imagery analysis and proprietary models, combined with publicly available technologies. It enables farmers to monitor fields, analyze productivity, and receive actionable insights on issues like flooding or pest risks, ultimately enhancing decision-making.
The new funding will be instrumental in further advancing AI Agronomist's capabilities. This expansion aims to bolster OneSoil’s precision agriculture platform, assisting farmers in making faster and more informed operational decisions based on comprehensive data analysis.
