Rize raises $31M to scale low-emission rice

Singapore-based Rize has closed a $31 million Series B, comprising $20 million in equity and $11 million in debt. BNP Paribas Asset Management Alts led the equity portion, joined by the Rockefeller Foundation, Temasek and Breakthrough Energy Ventures.

The funding will expand low-emission rice production, traceability, carbon certification and AI-based tools for farmers - a sector where methane reduction is one of the largest single climate levers in agriculture.
