Finance Earth has announced a £64.6 million (around $86.4 million) first close of the Big Nature Impact Fund, blending Defra anchor capital with institutional investment.
The vehicle is described as the UK's largest-ever nature-as-infrastructure fund and targets woodland creation, peatland restoration, and habitat projects across England.
Revenue is expected primarily from verified carbon and biodiversity units, positioning the fund as a public-private template for scaling nature-based solutions rather than a conventional farm-tech vehicle.
